Introducing the all new Friday's Fantasy Fables

The site has been up and running for a few months now, and we are keen to develop – to breathe life into new projects and create a space for our fellow bloggers to feel at home.

As well as the co-authored project, we are keen to encourage contributions from other writers and to find a way to share our skills and expertise with each other. We will therefore be concentrating on the For Writers section over the next couple of months.

To begin with we have created two new writing contests. Friday’s Fantasy Fables will take place every week, and will include a prompt and optional sentence starter. The winner of each contest will be show-cased in a catalogue we will be developing in the For Readers section. There’s also a pretty cool badge to display on your own site.

Let’s face it, none of us need an excuse to write, so if you’d like a challenge related to the genre of fantasy (which includes Science Fiction), please click here. You will be taken to the relevant week, and can enter by using the link-up button.

Thanks for stopping by, and we look forward to reading your contributions.

As always, if you would like to feedback or make suggestions, either leave a comment in the box below or drop us an email (writingroom101@gmail.com).

Melissa Barker-Simpson is a multigenre romance author. Her stories are about connection, friendship, and love in all its forms. So whether in a magical setting, an alternative universe, or a world where anything can happen – and often does – there is always an element of romance. I'd love to hear from you.
